Landmann 38" vertical propane convert to wood burning

Has any one converted a Landmann 38" propane vertical smoker into a wood smoker with fire box? I like wood burning smokers better than propane, but I picked up a propane one for free. It works great, don't know if I should sell it and get what I want or try and build a fire box for it. But I do like to modify things. Don't know if it's worth it.
