Hi there,
Time for my "Roll Call". Name is Chris.
A little bit of history up in smoke:
A friends brother got a bullet smoker for his wedding. Now unfortunately he was getting divorced (10 years later). Both me and my friend had a little interest in smoking so he offered to take it off his hands. We assembled it and read through the manual that came with it. In no time we were testing it out. The first time I borrowed it was to smoke a pork butt for our house warming BBQ. Let me say that was a nightmare. Temp control, high winds, horrible smoker, rookie. Needless to say it took a bit for me to get my meat tooth back.
From there I converted a Weber charcoal BBQ and used it as a smoker. Worked good. But was very limiting. I did however learn many, many things on that grill. It also sparked the smoking passion within.
Now I have upgraded. Told my father I would do his rehearsal supper and he requested I make ribs. I pondered and finally decided that it gave me an excuse to upgrade. Now I'm the proud owner of a Weber Rocky Mountain and have never been happier....wedding and kids excluded....
So far ribs have been my number 1. So easy to learn with. 2ND would be the pork butt which is still a work in progress.
Anyway that is me. If anyone else from Saskatchewan please say hi and share your Rider pride.
Chris
