If you can buy Kretschmar products in your area , look for the whole boneless ham sale .
$1.79 a lb. with $25 purchase and be a member of the rewards program where I shop . Not sure about other places , but It's worth a look . Great slicing ham for sandwiches .
10 pounds of ham , retail $50.86 , for $18.27 . I'll divide into 3 sections and freeze 2 to slice up later .

It's quality ham too . Chances are if you're buy sliced ham from the deli counter , it's either Kretschmar or Miller around here .
Last sale they ran was $2.25 a pound . I bought 2 . Sliced up the last hunk of that last week , so perfect timing .

Yup . If you eat a fair amount of ham , even at the 5 bucks a pound it's 1/2 price of buying pre sliced .

Started in St. Louis . I think it's now owned buy Smithfield . Should be fairly common in the midwest . I only buy it on sale , but that 10 pounds of ham will last me a long time .

What store Rich? I just grabbed 4 hams today @ $0.79 / lbs, two spiral sliced and two butt hams but I'd love to score some deli ham like this too. Hams I got were Meijers store

This is a local family owned store . Dierbergs , but the sale should be on the brand of ham . Search Kretschmar for your area .

Local family chain back in NW MN is Hugos. They have Kretschmar in the deli counter, but John Morrell whole (deboned) ham is on sale for $1.89/# with a $30 additional purchase in the meat case.

I've seen the John Morrell products . I think Smithfield bought them too .
Used to buy the bacon , but they don't carry Morrell products anymore . Probably a Smithfield marketing thing .

Looks like they have the Cooks brand " portions " on sale . Doesn't say shank , so must be the butt half .
