Metrowest Boston , ma.
Got two 20 pound bags of kingsford for $ 12.99 at Lowes in Dedham today (Monday ) . It was marked $19.99 in the aisle , but it rang up for the sale price. And I bet Home Depot will price match if they don't have a sale as well. I was so mad I missed the end of summer sale , but I think this will get me through til Memorial Day.

I hope your right on having enough charcoal for the winter.  You don't want to have withdrawals before it goes on sale again.  ha ha ha

Ha ! I know....well , I have 3 full 20 lb bags now and half a bag of frontier lump , so I think I'll make it. To be honest , I'm getting a little wimpy in my old age. I don't really like to be out in the cold garage cooking like I used to...but during the January thaw , I'll get out there !

Well in that case, maybe you could think about getting an electric Smoker for those colder days of winter and go back to your charcoal Smoker when the Weather gets a little nicer.  This is my fist smoker ever so I have nothing to compare to.  That's just my thought to you so maybe you could still enjoy smoking all year long.  If I over step my boundaries, just say so.

as long as the wind dies down, the cold isn't so bad

It's all good , brother! I don't mind a suggestion... I would love to try an electric smoker...I should look for a used one on craigs list.....be a lot easier. :grilling_smilie:
