I apologize if this isn't in the correct forum but I am having a problem. I came out today to give my smoker a quick clean before tomorrows smoke and when I came out, the sucker is full of cob webs. It's got bugs inside there and is pretty nasty. Last time I smoked something it was about a month and a half ago. I always pull out the water basin and empty it and clean the grates after each smoke but I still have a crap ton of bugs in there. It's nasty... I'm going to run the smoker up today and let it go all day with just the heat and water in there.

Is there something I should be doing that would alleviate the amount of bugs?

Thanks,
Colton

What kind of smoker is it? Do you have a cover on it? I have a cover on my GOSM and my grill and don't get many bugs or spiderwebs in them, lot's of webs under my grill but none inside.

Oh wait, the SMF answer would be.....Use it more often!!!

No biggie , they burn -up quickly and leave no taste , but do as Dave said ..." Use it more often"...and give it a coat, it will bless you with great food for a longer time.

Lol thanks guys! I had a cover but it got torn up in a storm bc it was kind of old. I got it burning now to get it warmed up for tomorrow. Almost forgot, it's a Brinkmann electrIc smoker (red "barrell").
