I live in Northern Minnesota and therefore was thinking about getting  a Kamado Kooker as they maybe able to hold the temps better when its realy cold as I like to grill in the winter as well. Has anyone done a Brisket on a Kamado and how did it turn out? I love my Chargriller with the side Fire Box but its hard to keep the temps right in the winter.

Heres one I did on my Chargriller with the SFB.

Stuart, morning.... Have you done all the mods to seal up the Chargriller to get use of all the heat ???  A welding blanket may work, for insulation, at a lot less expense...  The Kamado is a nice cooker from what I have read...   Dave

Thanks Dave, yes I have done some , I know I loose a lot of heat around the Lid. I have just bought a welding blanket which I was going to try when I get home, it should help a lot. I think I will try that.
