One of the members sent me a pm to ask if I was ok cause I haven't been on the board as much lately. I would like to thank Jarhead1963 for his concern and say that it was very considerate of him to ask if things were ok.
This is the response I sent (outside of our joking harassment Army vs. Marine....LOL) and thought I would post it so everybody knows where I go when I disapear from the forum.

(I'm OK.....Just been real busy with work. Lots of critter calls (I do nuisance wildlife control, its my own business) and been getting calls for bats inside homes which means I have to catch the bat, euthanize it, do all the paper work and have it tested for rabies. That takes a lot of time, plus the other animal calls I get. I also have leukemia and that sometimes tires me out too. And no, I'm not having any problems with the leukemia at this point, the meds and the VA are doing there job fantasticly!!!! Thanks for asking though, that was really nice of you and I appreciate your concern.)

This is one of the things that makes this forum great, people helping each other and genuine concern for each other.

Well steve I'm really sorry to learn of your illness but then I'm glad your doing so well also. Now to this service of your country I want to thank you and everyone of you and your brothers and sisters for your service my father and oldest son were both Marines and our son is now in the Army awaiting deployment to Iraq for the 3rd time. This actually happened to me today!!!!! Keep in mind I've done 2 bat calls in as many days.
I got a call from a church saying they had some kind of animal inside a floor mounted wooden cabinet, they thought it might be a bat or something trapped inside. When I arrived I closed the doors in the office to contain the animal in the event it got out of the cabinet while I was trying to see what I was dealing with. I then cracked open one of the doors and shined in my light to see what was there. I couldnt see any wings, legs. fur or feathers. So when I closed the door I heard something hit it thinking whatever was inside was trying to come after me. At this point I wasn't sure what the heck it was!!!! So after a couple more times of peeking in through the cracked open door, seeing nothing moving, then having whatever was inside hitting the door everytime I closed it, I was tired of the cat and mouse game this critter was playing with me. It was time for the moment of truth, the face to face confrontation. I opened the doors ready for a grizzly bear to come out and rip me apart. Then I leaned back on my heels and started laughing!!!!! The customers came into the room when I called for them, looked at me strangely and asked why I was laughing. I told them I found their vicious critter, it was a PC Monster!!!!
Apparently, the tower from the computer was to close to the door and when the door was closed it hit the botton causing the DVD tray to open and hit the door repeatedly. The customers felt a little foolish but I told them they did the right thing by blocking the doors and calling me. It could have been a potential danger to them. Never a dull moment!!! LMAO

As for weird critters I've caught in Illinois I'd have to say a 17 foot Reticulated python, a 16 foot Burmese python and a 5 1/2 foot American alligator. The gator did wack me in the ribs with his tail as I was picking him up, but no biggie, I already had his mouth taped shut and that was the end I was concerned with....LOL

You know with all the BS going on in the world, it's so nice to see civility, respect and a general concern for ones fellow man. Even though I will most likely never meet any of the members here, I would think its a safe bet to say that we would instantly become good friends if we did. That's what I like about this place. Not only the info and exchange of ideas, but the social and cordial interaction of mostly complete strangers.
