Hello, I have been grilling for quite awhile now, but within the last few years have started experimenting with smoking. I have an older BroilMaster grill (propane) that I have been using to smoke with and couple of years ago added a CharBroil Infra-red grill that is setup with Natural Gas connection to my home. My most recent addition to the outdoor cooking appliances is a Bradley Platinum 4 rack smoker. I looked around for a long time and found this to be my best entry into the "official" smoker/pit setup to continue to hone my skills. I also have a Turkey fryer at my disposal, but after about a half dozen turkeys that really did turn out great, I have pretty much soured on the whole 2 hour clean up (after the oil has cooled of course) and now only use the pot for seafood boils and hobo stews/boils and corned-beef and cabbage.

I am a tinkerer when it comes to recipes and different meat products to prepare and grill and/or smoke or vice versa. There are a couple of recipes that I stick with for ribs/pork shoulder/butt when cooking for large groups or guests, but otherwise my family is my willing testers.

Looking forward to meeting more of you here in the forum and picking up on more tips and tricks as well as sharing my experiences. I have put my spot on the map in Northwest Ohio, but I am a diehard and grill smoke year round, snow or other weather for that matter doesn't deter me from pursuing my hobby/passion/obsession!
