I have this same exact setup. I vacuum out the ash from the burn pot in my Yoder and set it for 150°F for ~5 hours. Works great. I make a 5lb batch 2x a month. Starting with a clean burn pot helps ensure it stays lit.I've never made on anything else. I smoke it on my Yoder pellet smoker set to it's lowest temp. 150f. Usually takes 3-5 hours depending on meat thickness. And I rotate it is often. My Yoder runs a good bit hotter on the bottom rack.
Yep. Pretty much my exact same process. Stumbled into it trying things and it works great. I do 5lb batches as well. Fits perfectly. Except I'm out and over due for more!I have this same exact setup.
