It's all Chris' fault!

It is!

After reading about Chris' chili cookoff and seeing those pics of him doing justice to Jeff's chile verde recipe, I had to throw a pot on of my own.

I followed the recipe pretty accurately, a few modifications and I used a mixture of leftover sliced pork butt, smoked turkey, smoked chicken and some ground turkey for the meat.
It's almost 2 hours in and it smells so good.

Thanks Jeff and Chris!

Well I can now say first hand that the chili verde is another great recipe from SoFlaQuer Jeff. (Where has he been anyhow?).

It's good stuff although I should have followed Chris' recommendation and used more meat. I think 5 lbs would have been better for my tastes then the 3 1/2 lbs recommended.

Lots of leftovers, wish I could have sent you some, but since I can't I'll just have to suffer and save it for leftovers. Would have been even better with a nice side of corn bread.

Looks grea Ron! That is one of the best recipes on the forum IMHO. and it works good with beef or pork. ENjoy!
