Yeah, the wedge shaped front flips down to add/fire charcoal - leave open at startup.Right below that is the sliding vent. The grate flips over so it's closer to the coals for continuing to cook with dying coals or to put a griddle on (propped up by the now inverted feet).First time I ever saw/used one I had Elk steaks! Talk about a searing machine, hell do it all machine. You'll be giddy using your CI on it....You're gonna love it!
Oh,Channelocks are the preferred multi tool

You mean those have value? I have one rusting away under the back deck. Not a Lodge brand though.

Hibachis are great! Better clean yours up and start grilling.

Those things are awesome!!
I had a Hibachi when I was in the Army, in Hawaii.
Great little Steak & Burger maker, just the right size for Me & Mrs Bear!!
Have fun with it Case!!

Ones ah my parents had kept the one they had when I was little. They sold it when they bought a bigger Weber. Which I wish was still around.

Mine has way more rust. They can kick out the heat, though. Try running cast iron cookware on it.

Watch out when cooking something that can roll, like brats, because there's no rim to keep things from falling off.

Every bbq’d On a boat in the ocean?

Couple ways to stop dogs and brats from rolling. Skewer them together or buy a fancy pants dog roasting basket.

I’m going to get some flax seed oil on this guy before I get real serious about using it.
