Shopped at Costco Tuesday....    Picked up 2 more pork bellies....   When putting stuff in the cooler, in my truck, I noticed the price !!!  $ 3.49....  WHAT....  

That's quite a jump from  $ 2.49 last time...   Oh well.... it's worth it to have great bacon....    I guess I will savor it more.....

Wow, that IS a difference. I picked up some when Costco first starting offering it. It was $1.99 lb. back then.

I've never seen a pork belly for sale in any grocery store or membership store in our area.  Lots of cured and sliced bacon though. 

My wife prefers buckboard and back bacon anyway, so that's what I cure.

Is there a Cash & Carry nearby? A few years ago, they were the only ones that sold in my area. They sell both frozen bellies (3 to a box) and have just started selling fresh 1/2 bellies in the fresh meat dept.

Tough to find up here too.  I've only found one place. That's Blood Farm over in Groton but that's a 100 mile round trip from me, so I don't make it that often but when I do, I take the big coolers and pack them.
