So, my Mom is a breast cancer survivor of about 15 years. She kicked its ass!! Her check ups in recent years have been clear. The latest one this week shows an abnormal small lump... they ruled out a cyst...

So, I am hoping for the best... life sure has a way of making you feel defeated at times.

In the last handful of years... we have lost both my in laws... 3 cousins and 2 fam friends... and just had word today one of our close friends lost her step dad... And now this. Just facts, I know some have it worse… and my apologies if it seems a complaint or feeling sorry for myself… it’s more just venting to friends…

Mom did say if was the C word... that she vowed to beat its ass like she done before... she is a strong woman.

If I can ask ya’ll when you're chatting with the almighty... maybe mention my Mom if it's not a bother.

Also, have the ladies in your life get screened if they don’t already! Cancer is no joke!

Edit… to say my Mom requested me send this on SMF as she knows this is my social media… and she wants all gals to get screened.

God bless your Mother, sounds like she is a trooper.

We had a scare two yrs ago, during a routine breast exam on my wife the Dr found an abnormality. Every woman on my wife's side of the family is a breast cancer survivor, a few even got double mastectomies to try to prevent cancer, then they still got cancer.
Anyhow, the Dr said he was 90% sure that my wife's abnormality was cancer, because of her family history.

They sent her to a specialist, she got all the scans and tests. The specialist comes into the room and says there is a pea sized cluster/ mass, but it is just fatty tissues, and 100% certain that it is NOT cancer. We were so relieved, and also so pissed at her Dr for saying what she said, 90% certain my ass. We thought my wife had cancer for almost 3 months and were super stressed out by it. I drove down to her 90% sure Dr's office and really laid into her about opening her mouth about cancer before the resulting tests were in her chubby little mits.

We then told her that she was fired because she can't be trusted any longer.

My wife gets an MRI once a yr along with the normal breast exams her NEW Dr gives her, and so far so good, thanks to the Lord above us.

Also, both of my Grandmothers and a few of my aunts were breast cancer survivors.

I pray that your Mother doesn't have to go through that crap again, but if she does, she will kick cancer's ass once again.

(Mom's and Grandmothers are Superwomen, stronger than any man alive.)

Take care of them for us, thank you, Lord!!!!

Dan.

Praying for your Mom, Justin. My Mom is going through the same thing right now too. Be the buffalo and run right through the storm brother. 👍

my thoughts are with your family Jusin. My mother had breast cancer in the early 70s. She was in her late 30s early 40s. She lived into her 80s. It's a tough battle but it can be won.

Prayers for your mom and the family Justin! The stress of it all just sucks! And a reminder... don't just get checked for breast cancer. My wife went to a specialist because she was concerned with a spot on her leg, ended up as nothing but they found a different spot that did have to be removed as cancer. I started seeing the same specialist, go once a year... my wife has to go every 6 months. Growing up on the farm I'd hate to think of how many times I was sunburnt. So for all you guys who spent hours and hours working in the sun get regular check ups... it's not bad if found early.

Oh man hate to hear that news Justin.
Well she's a fighter and we will pray 🙏 for her strength as well as the family. Sounds like she was doing the right things and early detection is the key.

I lost my dad at 62 to pancreatic and liver cancer. Lived 3 months after diagnosed.
4 of his brothers also died of cancer and probably 20 or so cousins.
My mom is a 25 yr survivor and so was her mom.

I've been a benefits provider for over 36 yrs and serve individuals and groups.
One of the first claims that I filed was for a male with breast cancer so we can ALL be affected.

Stay strong brother and prayers for all!

Keith

Prayers for your mother. Sorry to hear this.

As we all age we all know more about cancer and are either directly or indirectly affected.

F*CK CANCER

It is never a bother to answer prayer requests!
Also, have the ladies in your life get screened if they don’t already! Cancer is no joke!
I'd add that all you men need to do yearly PSA tests starting at around age 50. Prostate cancer is both the most common and most curable cancer among men when caught early!
