Is this Creosote build up or just season?

Hey folks, been enjoying my new MES 30, but recently I have been noticing a extremely dark brown and at points black build up in it. I was wondering if this was creosote building up or just a good seasoning starting to happen. I have the AMAZEN smoker in the mail and I'm excited to use it and being able to control my smoke better. Thanks in advance!
