Like the title says, I usually only cook one type of meat at a time, but i need something, as , I don't trust the temp gauge on the unit itself (as I don't think anybody does). Thanks!

I have a Maverick, Thermo Pro and a Fireboard. For small cooks on one or two items I like the ease of use of the Thermo over my Maverick.

No experience with that , but Tp 20 is a good unit. Think there is a 20% coupon listed on here somewhere for Thermo pro. Nothing wrong with the Mavericks or Inkbirds either.

I have that TP08 and it works good and has lifetime warranty on probes. One probe for grate and one for meat. My meat probe went bad and Thermopro sent me two new probes straight away. Only real downer is it takes four batteries to operate and they need replacing too often. I have the Inkbird 2 probe WiFi now and now have half the batteries and graph/display on my phone.

I have a TP08 and so far very happy with it, I do not have a battery issue. I probably have 40 hours use, all of that below freezing some at -30C and so far no battery issues. If you don’t want/need a firebox probe you can run a meat probe in the BBQ terminal, kind of handy.

I have a TP 08 that I use with my WSM so I can watch the smoker temp as well as meat temp . What smoker you have ?
Nothin wrong with that therm . I like it .

I just have a cheapo electric unit from Aldi, so far so good, I use my weber & a charcoal unit also
Thats why I asked , I never found a reason to check temps inside my MES 30 because of temp swings . Now that I have a controller on it , I do watch the chamber temps . Anyway thats a good therm , should be a discount code for it for being a forum member .

I should mention that it seems to be pretty accurate (the smokers thermo), just by the amount of times I have cooked on it, of course all of them vary. thanks
