Is Anyone Smoking Goose?

I hardly ever see Goose discussed in the BBQ community.

It releases so much fat, but I'd like to see it become more prevalent in BBQ.

I tried to smoke one on a Weber Kettle and the fat just overwhelmed the cook.

I'd probably would have to blanch it to remove the fat, and then smoke it.
 
I cook a lot of goose....but all wild geese-no skin. Make a lot of pastrami with them, jerky, snack sticks....even do a pecan crusted ground meat pattie with them. All good....

Rotisserie with a foil pan under to catch the gold. I have one for my kettle and do duck. Farm geese are just to $$$$$
