I been having so much trouble getting to hot going to try this tonight on chicken thighs. Been thinking about putting gasket kit in.

I just put the bottom ones in. Doing good. 375 steady. Usual chicken done in 20 minutes so hot.

The chicken looks really good. If that's a kettle and you want HOT get a Vortex and you'll have your high HOT heat.

Point for sure
Chris

Were you putting the chicken directly over the Vortex? I can't say I've ever burnt chicken or anything using mine.

No had around. This grill has always run very hot. Need try less charcoal next time.

...or close down some of the bottom vents
