LMAO as I read that headline today. The article said folks were steering away from steaks/chicken to go with the cheaper product ( sausage). I think any of the sausage making SMF folks know that a good homemade sausage maybe as expensive( and much better) than a steak !! :)

I typically do all pork sausages simply because beef is so expensive. Granted, I'm not eating sausage because I have to, I tend to have them because I like them.

I wouldn't be eating much steak at the current prices if I didn't have my own beef source. I eat quite a bit of sausage, but even what I make, I wouldn't call cheap by the time everything is figured in.
