I'm looking for advice on how to change and igniter for a Louisiana grill. Is it very difficult and where would be the best place to buy an igniter?

If it's the igniter rod then call Louisiana's support or FireCraft for the part. To replace it they would have to tell you. I looked at their site and there are no clear instructions on how to replace it.

Thanks Joe, I searched for you tube instructions and couldn't find any thing.

I had a problem with my LG800 popping gfa circuit breaker every time I turned it on. I called Danson support and they were very helpful. Tech thought the ignitor might be the problem, emailed me instructions to remove it and try powering up.
The removal was simple, just remove 6 screws to take the side panel of the hopper off, unclip the snap-in wire leading to the igniter, remove the 2 screws holding down the igniter tube, slide it out and reverse the process to install the new one. Just don't forget to reconnect the wires to the fan on the side panel before reattaching that.
BTW: the igniter is covered under the 3 year warranty so if yours is not older than that they'll send you a new one free.
