Hope everyone keeps safe and warm for the next couple of days.
It's looking pretty bad in this area, the electricity has already gone out once today, I'm sure those in central Oklahoma and Kansas are getting hit hard.

Keep safe and warm everyone.

They have us forecast for that in central Iowa also, we're still trying to recover from the 1 we had in Feb.

Batten down the hatches Cowgirl and anyone else in it's path. Winter is here.

We were a warm and sunny 76* here today with 70's the rest of the week. Doesn't feel much like winter yet here.

It's been raining steadily here since about 5:00 this afternoon, temps hovering at about 33 degrees. Gonna be slicker than greased snot on a doorknob in the morning.

It just started here about an hour ago. steady light rain with the temps at about 25, it just falls and sticks to whatever. 10 minutes into it my wife's truck had a glossy shine like it's never had before!!!

The national weather service is predicting up to a 1/2" thick coat of ice before it changes over to snow. I'm more worried about losing power due to tree limbs taking down local distribution lines. Since I don't have a wood burner that would mean no furnace

Which would mean staying home frm work and tending to the generator tomorrow.

Stay safe out there everyone!!!

Heard it might make it here tomarrow late AM. got the generator stocked, and it's not warm enough to endanger my pulled pork freezer stock :{) good luck everyone!

Ice storm? Is that some kind of frozen drink?

Stay safe. I hope you brought in enough firewood already

Just saw some pics of the ice storm in Oklahoma, It looks just like an ice storm we had in 1991. We didn't have electric for a week and it was in the middle of winter. Hope everyone is safe.

Ahhh, OK. Not too far from where I'm at. Nice area...been round those parts a few times crossing at Sarnia. In the old days, when there were no hassles. Sigh.
