Well we had a bout with mother nature last week and were without power for 5 days here. Some people still have no power. Here's a little scenery from my neighborhood.....

My street....

Dodging trees and lines.....

Icy lines....

Even the dogs were cold....

Heating the house Old School style....

It's been pretty crazy around here but things are finally starting to thaw out. I'll take some global warming if anyone has some extra.

Thanks

SG.

Man thats some ulgy weather... But on the up side there should be plenty of downed trees to be had for smoking wood. Hang in there spring is around the corner.

Mike hope it gets better soon for you and your neighbors

Hey smoking gun glad to here we finally got your power on..we were in the crestwood area, pewee valley, buckner and bunches of other places.. you guys definitly got a slap from mother nature..shame we couldn't meet but we were quite busy as you all know...

I really feel sorry for some of the people who are totally unprepared for such an event..came home for a break and clothes and we might be back down there somewhere in a day or so

gonna go on a meat shopping spree when i'm all done

Thank you for helping us out. The windstorm from hurricane Ike wasn't near as bad because it was warm weather. This time everyone just left and went to stay with families or to motels. The Pewee Valley area has TONS of trees and one place they had a HUGE tree leaning over the main road (HWY 146) leaning on some HIGH VOLTAGE feed wires at the very top of the poles. You guys did a great job considering the conditions and the amount of damage. I wish I could have met up with ya. Thanks again.

Mike.

Dang Mike, looks bad you way! Hope things get back to normal for ya soon.
I know we're neighbors...but I think the storm hit your end of the neighborhood a lot harder than mine. I'll send some of this sunshine your way. :)

That kind of weather sucks. Been thinking about you folks down that way without any power and tough weather. Hang in there. Linscum, you be careful in that crap to brother. That a damn tough and thankless job.

Ice does suck, I'm right there with you brother...finishing up day 11 without power...looks like it is going to make it to day eighteen or so.
