I have read about the accessories I need to buy to add on and have done so. I have the AMNPS 5X8 shipping out to me any day, I will be ordering the ET 732 once I get paid again but I have no idea how to set these things up and actually use them. I have read threads on setting them up but I still feel completely lost. I also don't know if I need water in the pan, use pellets or wood (how much), when to add these things along the way. Again I have never smoked anything in my life and I am a complete greenhorn. A video would be really cool if a master of the MES 40 has time to put something like that together it would be appreciated by us rookies. Thanks to everyone that contributes to make these forums easier for newbies.

Here ya go:

There's about 50 smokes in my Index. Each one has times, temps & such that I used, and lots of tips that may help you.

There are many pictures with each smoke that will show how my MES 40 is set up.

Even if your MES is the Gen #2, a lot of the settings will be the same.

Hope this helps you:

Just click on "Bear's Step by Steps".

That's Great-----I was hoping you had that one!!!

It's a much better smoker than the Gen #2, and my Step by Steps were developed with that smoker.

Thanks Bear, you have been great at answering my several questions along the way and providing things that will help me. It is appreciated and I will be using your step by step "tracks"

If you fallow Bear you will have great Q every time.

The only problem you will have is you will become

a smoking junkie!

MAVERICK ET-732 REMOTE SMOKER THERMOMETER

MAVERICK ET-733 WIRELESS BBQ & MEAT THERMOMETER
I've been using my ET-732 for 4 years---Works Great !!

I forget what the ET-733 has that may be better or worse. I think it might have more things on it that you don't need or want, but don't quote me.

I went ahead and ordered the MAVERICK ET-732 from Todd's website. I have ordered both products I needed from him. I believe in local support.
