I need recommendations on a meat slicer

I was a professional meat cutter for over 30 years and used $5,000 professional slicers all the time.  So, I bought this one:


It slices meats and cheeses just fine.  Made a cheese platter with smoked cheddar:


We will cook a rump roast and have half of it, then the next day slice up the rest for sandwiches, thin.  I works fine!
 
Be very sure you research heavily. This is an item that you definitely get what you pay for. The cheap ones are a poor long term investment and you'll want to stab someone when it comes time to clean them. Put a tad extra money into your purchase and it will last the average person a lifetime. Check out the Avantco line. Great commercial slicers for the everyday non business owner. I went to the higher end and bought the SL512 which is an absolute beast. Also 700 dollars though. They have a great line just really depends on what you want to do with it.
