I need a recipe

I wouldn't call this a recipe, but when I do make chicken salad, I smoke my chicken & onion. Just lightly brush the onion with evoo. Chicken salad always tastes better the 2nd day this way to me. I just use smoked chicken & smoked onion, finely chopped celery, real mayo, a touch of Zatarains Creole seasoning for a bit of "kick". Chill in the fridge till the next day if you can resist.
 
Smoked chicken chopped, some miracle whip, bit a onion if momma ain't lookin an ifin I can get away with it some chopped celery. Add pepper ta taste. Good stuff.

+1 here. Afraid it wouldn't be right if I followed a recipe. I'm the same with tuna salad, and my cocktail sauce.
 
no one mentioned hard boiled eggs in the mix
chicken, eggs, crumbled bacon, miracle whip, dill relish, salt and pepper on saltines instead of bread for me usually.
