I figured I should give a follow up since I posted it in the open forum (prostate biopsy)

With All Due respect, its about getting you better!
With todays Rapid Tech, things change ! That,s a good thing !
I totally agree with you ! I did the same with both Hips replacements.
I do apologize and did not send any disrespect, just that we are all humans, including the Docs !?
Again Sorry that you took it the wrong way.
Enough SAID!

You're fine, bud. I just was saying that I am up on the latest treatments and the like as far as prostate cancer goes. I even stumped my radiation oncologist with a question or two.

He told me he had only 2 or 3 of his patients that had complications from SBRT radiation. Ok, doc, what's the sample size? 5? 10? 100? I want to know how many you have treated with this machine I'm going into for treatment. He kinda looked at me funny and started doing mental math in his head.

Turns out it was better than 150 he has treated for prostate cancer with the Elekta Versa with only 2 or 3 with minor complications.

The radiation clinic gave me a certificate for having completed my course of treatment with courage, determination, and good nature (must of got me confused with another patient, lol).
That's probably the best participation trophy ever. Good for you Doug. Screw Cancer and stay strong.

I had a follow-up appointment with my urologist this afternoon. Out of the 10 biopsy cores taken, one showed cancer cells. They seem to be localized, slow growing, so likely it has not spread to anywhere else. Next up, a consult with a radiological oncologist.
Prayer your way buddy. Glad it was caught early.

Well, went for a blood draw for my first post radiation PSA test today. Been 4 months since the last treatment so my PSA should be coming down. I have a follow up with the radiation doc this coming Thursday.
PSA at 1.8, baby! Down from 4.5 pre-radiation. I think they expect it to go down to 0.5 or less, eventually, but it doesn't happen over night.

And F cancer!
