I think most Chinese joints don't use Fried Rice---The use something they call "Flied Lice".

That could have something to do with the taste difference.

Happy B'day again Ross...looks like a fine mess of fish there. Missed this eariler but for the fried rice I know many Chinese joints use the rice that's leftover from the previous day. Make your rice the day ahead, let it come to room temp, fluff up the grains and proceed as you normally would. I see olive oil in the pic....most places would use regular veg oil or canola and probably a lot more soy sauce than you used.

Yea I made the rice the day before it made a big difference to have more firm rice.

Thanks.  I googled it and found a bunch but none with those handles.  I would want those handles as they will stay cool.

Actually, that is the site I liked the best but I couldn't find one with the same handles as yours.  Did you replace them or am I just an idiot*?

*Note, I may be an idiot independent of this issue.

That one Ross has is a beauty!

If you get one of the real ones, you have to fill in the center hole, add handles, and make sure you get all of the manure off of it.

I know about manure!  My family owns a farm machinery buisness.  The youngest of the family has to crawl into the ****-spreaders to fix them, when needed.  I had to do it twice and my brother once.  My niece is up next, on Saturday.

No you can order them with metal, spiral metal, wood and also some fancy design one as well I believe. Even with the spiral metal the handles still get a little warm.

Here are all the different ones you can get.

He actually gets these before the holes are drilled and no manure is used in the seasoning of this wok.

I got mine from this same guy and he does a nice job with them. The neat part for me is that it fits into the motorhome too!!

And I DO NOT want to run into the dog that catches that Frisbee!

Kidding aside---Those things look pretty neat!

Hmm, Could be a great Christmas present for my 39 year old offspring!!!
