I did it guys!! I made it through November 8th!!!

2 years ago "ON November 8th", I went to the hospital as an out patient for what they called a "Simple" Catheterization to check my Coronary arteries, and the Stupid Dr nearly killed me, as he accidentally ripped a hole in my Aorta. They had to perform a 9 hour emergency Open-Heart surgery to save my life. 28 days later I left the hospital with everything screwed up----Mostly caused by that Accident. Everything is still screwed up, but I'm still here!!

Then last year "On November 8th again", I had to go to the hospital ER for a Gall Bladder Attack. The stone passed, but they said if I didn't get the Gall Bladder out, it would come back real soon. I said "No Thanks" and went home the next day.

Saturday was "November 8th again", and I told my wife "I aint doing Chit today", because it's my day to end up in the hospital.

Well it's now November 10th, and I'm still at home in no worse shape than I was on November 7th (Knock on Wood).

Holy crap.   I would have stayed in bed all day.

Glad ya made it through all that.

Hey John

CONGRATS!!!!!!! This now has the makings of a great year. Great news.

My day is Nov 22. I turn 66 that day and if I hit it I will break the Hibbert Curse--seems like all the men on my dad's side die at age 65, so all I need is to survive another 12 days without looking at turnip roots from below and I should be good to go.

.... and that is why bears hibernate in the winter!

WOW......2 years already, I remember those days well. You were 'on the bubble' for sure. I turn 67 in a few days and never take anything for granted anymore, knowing guys younger than me that have cashed out. So, enjoy the family and friends at this special time of year coming up....and enjoy an extra big slice of Mrs. Bears Raspberry Chiffon Pie!!....Willie

Yeah... that was a rough year for many SMF members. Bear had his bad spell, I had the flesh eating virus on my leg, and I think there was one or two other major illnesses/surgeries all within 6 or 7 months of each other. I think that was the same year the YAWE forum started.... lol.

Yup---It doesn't seem like 2 years already.

I got 66 coming up in January.

My Mom died at 68 of Cancer, and never smoked.

My Dad died at 71 of Cirrhosis of the liver & wasn't a drinking man.

I just take it one day at a time.

Thanks for reminding me---I gotta put my order in for a Raspberry Chiffon Pie.
