I am Bigpop, new to the forum. Been gittin' Jeff's newsletter a few years. Considered myself a pretty fair "smoker" for years, and so do those that come runnin' for my ribs and other stuff. If you think I am arragant, you should feel that way about yours, unless you are new at smoking, then expect to get there! Jeff's tutorials and newsletters are great and easy to follow, I studied the "tut" a few years ago and sharpend my skills. If I can;t learn anything still, I am sunk!I have usea a PK for 40+years. Acouple of different styles. They were known as PK,Portable Kitchen, made in Little Rock since early 60s I think. First cast aluminum closed smoker, and used as first prototype for Gas Grilles! Also. a Brinkman cheapo electric "bullet style". Dang I hate to admit that smoking can be that easy and great! And have used gas grilles too!I am from Little Rock, over 60 years and now in No. Tx for 4 years. Learning yo cook brisket, starting to like it! Old pork & rtibs man, and smoke a great turkey! Love the newsleter and hope to meet y'all in the forum.Oh, I use Jeff's rub, stick with My "Little Rock" style sauce!
