First off, I hope everyone had a great turkey day. Mine was great but very quiet, peaceful and uneventful. That is fine and good but as I look back over the years I have fond memories of simpler times when the characters in my life made the holidays a banquet of anticipation. It was a simple fact that someone or something would make it an occasion to remember. It was a given. Inevitable. So what is your holiday story? Did your 4'10" Grandma make rum cake with 150 proof Bacardi rum like mine? Did Dad and Gramps show up late because they were sure the next cast would be rewarded with a fresh winter steelhead? Did Uncle Bob start opening bottles of wine at 10:00 AM and my Mom us kids were the only ones awake by dinner time? Did the power go out when the turkey was half done? I miss all those special people, but Ahhh the memories! What's yours?

Ours was very good. No good stories came from it. Just a good time by all.
