Just wondering what the process is. My smoker has been delayed and I want to hit the ground running when it gets here. I have seasononed cast iron in the past. I rubbed down with bacon fat stored from previous breakfasts then baked for some time in the oven. Is it pretty much the same just controling the temp inside the smoker? Thanks in advance.

What I did was get a spray bottle and filled it with cheap veggie oil.
Sprayed down the inside, and wiped it with paper towels to make sure nothing was missed.
Ran it for 3-4 hours

what i did was just get 40 pounds of fat back and stuffed it and ran it for 10 houres ..........lol just kidding

well if you hit it really hard the fat will cover ever thing .......

and richtee the hammer is a very impornt part of the smokeing tools along with duck tape ......fix any thing with that ......a car ....a smoker ......your house ....your lawn ...garden there is nothing you cant fix wiht thoses
