How to get rid of annoying flies

does anyone have any tips to keep flies away or at least try to lower the amount of them. We can barely sit outside or even in the garage with the door open. We put one bag (completely sealed) in the garbage can and they just flock to it as well. Even if it has no food in it. We have tried those hanging bags away from the house to attract them there and away from us and that attracts them for sure but still doesn’t help keep them away from the house. Looking into one of those nets for the garage door, we had in the past but really is a pain with 3 kids going in and out. They Don’t last long.

Flies & mosquitos are not a huge problem here. But later in the summer, we get aggressive yellow jackets that believe they are entitled to a share of the bbq.

That’s exactly what it is. I grill or smoke something and it’s like they attract them and they don’t ever leave. Like the smell is stuck around our house.

Like I mentioned in a previous thread, spray a mixture of Tempo around your surrounding area where you hang out. I spray garage floor, apron, patio and the shrubs around it. Really cuts down on them, never going to completely eliminate them.

I can at least leave the dog in the garage after spraying. ( pet friendly )

In the Army while in the field. It could get very bad. Especially in Hawaii. Our first Sgt. Who was a Vietnam vet. Told us to wash our Pits, sack, and crack. To keep the buggers away.

Fans. Used them when I was a food vendor because I couldn’t spray the area because there’s food Test what speed works for you without messing up someone’s hair or blowing the toppings off your taco.

It works flat out amazing for meat bee's.
I mix it with cat food to attract the bee's, but put it in a container that no other animals can get to. I use a chicken broth can, that I opened with an old school pop top can opener. I put 4 to 6 openings on both ends of the can, then I mix the G.M. with cat food and press it into the openings of the can. It's nasty work, but the stuff flat out works. Without it we can't eat outside without being invaded by meat bee's. Two days after I put out the bait can, we get zero bee's, and it lasts for a few weeks .
I have to do this 4-6 times a summer. I toss the can up on the roof of my house, with a string attached to it, so it's easy to pull down.
It really does a number on the flies as well.

I've had mine out since June and trapped at least 50 queens. First worker appeared recently. Time to put out the borax bait stations.

I love Tempo except for the price. I switched to Bifenthryn as much less expensive with same effectiveness as Tempo

I didn't read down far enough, I had no idea you had already posted the G.M.

The stuff works amazing, I know the old cattle ranchers used it to kill barn mice, rats, coons, and ground squirrels.

The stuff is truly one bite, and dead. I'm surprised they still sell it.
Prob can't buy it here in CA though, and if you can it's been reforulated, and doesn't work nearly as well.

I easily have enough of the old stuff for the rest of my lifetime, the good stuff. LOL!!!
