how long for rest?

Well I just pulled my butt out of the smoker and put it in the cooler but lunch is not for another 3 hours! I have not let one rest for more than 1.5hrs, will it be ok?

Yer fine. Have gone 5 myself, others have rested longer and was still too hot to pull...seems like 8 hours?? Long as it went in hot...

Cover with some towels in the cooler and it will be fine for the whole 3 hours if you want I have rested them for 2 hours and they were still almost too hot to handle, so if you pull out at 2 1/2 hours and then time to pull you will be fine

I have packed them in a good cooler with towels and news papers on top at 9pm and didnt take it out till 5am the next morning and it was still hot... You'll be fine with 3 hrs is my 2 coppers...

no room in the cooler, its a small lunch box size so there really isnt much air space. i figger i'll take it out of the cooler about 10:30 so I can have it ready by 11:00 or so. Thanks guys.
