How long do I need to cook the sause

I am going to make some BBQ sause for the first time. Am going to make Jeffs. How long do I need to let in cook. I was thinking abot four hrs will that be about right. Thank for your all help.

Low and slow til it is thick as you like it.

I made Jeff's sauce for the first time and while I thought it was good, I could really pick out some individual flavors.

After some time, I learned to let it cook low and slow, just like the meat...this incorporates everything and the flavors blend so well

I've since made my own sauce and the longer I cook it, the better it tastes.
