I am a novice (but improving), I have cut my teeth using an offset firebox smoker and the results have been good.

At Christmas I received a Kingsford Premier Console grill as a gift. It does have baffles but no stack. What will be my results if I attempt to use this to do a Butt or Brisket, it will be difficult for indirect but not impossible.

I may have to stick to my old smoker for bar-b-que and use the new for grilling.

Any advise would be appreciated.

I would opine that direct heat from a grill will give you exactly what you expect. A grilled brisket. Can you control the heat by building the fire on one side and place the meat on the other side so it is more indirect?
