I want to make meatloaf but no hamburger sales. Albertsons has brisket for $1.57. I have 2 frozen so don't need another but I guess could grind up for hamburger?
I like the fatty end of a smoked brisket , but if I was grinding half I would do it as you said .I'd still like to smoke some, grind point and smoke flat? Other way around?
Try beef knuckle or teres major . Great beef flavor . I smoked the middle section of a beef knuckle yesterday . Smell was fantastic . Getting sliced for sandwiches today .I never used to believe certain cuts tastes different but brisket indeed does.
