high end vs. lower end electric smokers

Hi all,
Leaning towards buying an electric smoker and I was hoping to get some advice. What are the big differences between the higher end models (say Cookshack Smokette Elite - > 800 $) and lower end modles like a Masterbuilt Digital for 200 $? Are the higher end models worth the price? Seems like they would only be worth it if they lasted a lifetime.  Any experience or advice would be much appreciated.

I have a 1st generation MES40 and love it. The 2nd generation has been known to have problems. Not sure if they have the bugs worked out yet.

Can't judge a Masterbuilt as I don't have one.  The advantages of the Cookshacks are many.  As they are built to last a lifetime, you will only have to buy one unless you want to upgrade.  They have in the past even taken your old in trade for a upgrade.  Many resell their used ones for more than they originally paid for them.  Along with a three year warranty the customer service is unbeatable.  Because they are so well insulated (much better than the knockoffs) and the minimal amount of wood needed to smoke, they in time will pay for themselves in wood and electricity.

I have two, an 009-2 and the Amerique 066.
