Welcome to the board! I learned smoking on Webers and I'm running an offset now. I will tell you in advance, offsets are great but they are hogs for fuel and attention.

I agree a wood burning offset gives the best flavor, but you have to babysit it.
I have elec., gas, charcoal, & wood smokers!
No pellet smoker yet though!
