Hi, I just bought a smoker. I have no idea what kind it is, care to identify it?

I've been using a bullet style brinkmann for the last few years and I feel like I've mastered it, but I always felt like maintaining a temperature was too tricky, even with tons of mods done to it.  I ran across this smoker on my way back from my mother in law's house:

Initially I thought it was a brinkmann deluxe, but the firebox damper and door do not match up.  anyone have any idea?  I figure I might as well ask before I start cutting and welding onto it.

Without any plates or labels, I would say it's home made. It has a somewhat odd shape. I really hope someone comes along with a better explanation. The history of this thing would surely be interesting.

Waiting to see.
