My  name is Slade, I am new to this site and new to smoking. I bought a propane upright smoker, but have yet to take it out of the box because I want to make sure I know what I'm doing to minimize the ruining of good meat. I'm from Central Kansas, so the winds get pretty bad here, but the winters aren't too bad. I think I will have a lot of good smoking time year round. My biggest hobby is Bass Fishing and tournaments, so I'm looking for smoking be my other hobby when I can't fish.
