Hi my name is Jason and I'm just about to begin using a smoker. I am an avid grilling enthusiast and now want to extend my skills by moving on to a smoker. I came here to learn on this site and to figure out what I need to get started I would appreciate any and all of your tips and ideas and look forward to learning from you all.

Hello Jason! Welcome aboard! Fellow PAer.
Honestly I think Boston butt is the best way to really learn how to smoke, it gave me time to learn and control temperature, about your heat source with controlling & reading the color of the smoke along with becoming one with the smoking vessel your using. Butt is more resilient to mistakes along the road to success. Keep it fun!
