For us, I got up at 2am to light the smoker and around 3:30, a 16ish pound brisket went on. Also doing a modified version of Dutch's Wicked Baked Beans, double recipe...low sugar. Along with that will be a double recipe of mac & cheese and 18 ears of corn on the cob.

What have y'all got going on today?

Happy 4th to everyone and stay safe...

Bonus points for those of you who remember the title line...

Sure loved Granpa Jones but he was a cantankerous old cuss!

Sounds like a great plan and off to good start Charles! Following along and picking up the scraps😆.

I'm planning on a turkey breast today that's up valuable space in the freezer and a couple of butts on Sat for a granddaughter's birthday party.

Happy 4th!

Beans are made up and will go on in about an hour...

Smoked 3 briskets & made a KC style sauce. 1 for another family and 2 for mine. We had lunch so it was a 7 PM to 9 AM cook. I had poor lighting overnight so only photos are of the finished product. I'm about to hit the hay early, all fat and happy like.

Looking good!! Just a simple crockpot chuck roast here with carrots and mashed taters. Taking care of my Mom and soft food is the diet.

No shame in early bed times. I started at 4 am and after cooking in the 100+ temps I was in bed by 7pm!
Pulled pork sliders , Jalapeno mac and hatch chile cheddar corn .

Lookin good everyone, we've been so busy haven't got to cook anything lately. But I'm on vacation next week, so hopefully I'll find time to cook, if I'm not to busy fishing.

This trail head is 15 min from the house. I get to do it once sometimes twice a week. My wife and boy 4-5 times a week….. you just have to also enjoy snow shoveling as well! lol
