Got a new smoker for Christmas and to say I’m excited to get started is an understatement. Planning on doing my first loin today! Looked up a bunch of recipes and bopped in and out of some threads looking for tips. This site is great!

For many years, I attended a hot pepper festival at the Thomas Family Winery in Madison. And there is the Open Fields event which I started in 1998, in an orchard along Rt. 37 south of Indianapolis

And then there's the Indy 500 - where else would you see a young guy already sunburned and drunk at daybreak, crawling into the trunk of a Toyota and closing the lid to cover himself looking for some shade? I have no standing to put someone down; in that same Indy infield I kissed a mare who had an Indiana Highway Patrol officer on her back.
