Last year is the first time I grew an herb garden. Loved having the fresh herbs for dishes. I am amazed that in Ohio with months of weather in the 30’s with snow and ice my 2 varieties of rosemary and the thyme are still very alive! I even have an Italian parsley plant that is alive although not as thriving as the others.

Wish I lived next door Jeff, doing a leg-o-lamb later today on my offset, rosemary is the only thing I need at the market. RAY

When I saw the title "Herbs in the snow" I had to click on it to see who Herb was....LOL I get me a cheap rosemary plant at Walmart.and water (spray) the leaves with the spray faucet in the sink. It likes that-----it keeps for many months (until I eat it faster than it grows)

Thats awesome Jeff! Ive often thought about building a cold frame for herbs and lettuce but never took the plunge. I was going to use cedar boards and a old wood framed window for the top door. Bury it down in the ground about three-quarters of the way.
