New to smoking and tried my first batch of snack sticks using Lem Backwoods Original seasoning and found it to be OK but a bit boring. I've read in posts that some members use this as a base and add other spices to it. I'd like to kick it up a bit and give it a little bite, not real hot but just a bit of heat. Any suggestions on how much of a spice, i.e., black pepper, red pepper, whatever, to add to Backwoods Original Seasoning to a pound of meat would really be appreciated. Thanks, Sim60
