Help with electric smoker

HI, I got an electric smoker this year. I don't seem to get the smoke flavor or the traditional pink smoke ring. Never had a problem with my gas smoker. What am I doing wrong?

You wont get a smoke ring with a electric smoker change chips every 30-45 minutes or use chunks. Get them smoking before you put them on and dont soak them, that only slows down the smoke.add chips at least 3-4 times flavor is there it just takes experimenting

I have always been able to taste the smoke n the past with my gas smoker. I realize there is no flavor
in the smoke ring, I am just so use to seeing it in the past 10 years that I have been smoking. But I do not taste the smoke at all in the meat.

+4; AMNPS rocks! 100x better results than I ever got with my gasser.

Smoke ring is only visual and overrated. Don't worry about it and focus on nailing your proteins. I promise you once you get the AMNPS and are producing TBS for the entire smoke the food will taste so good you will not care.
