I'm turning to the SMF community because I know no better one. A good friend of mine that lives in Austin, Tx is having trouble with his contractor. It's the all too often heard story of pay half the price of the job once contracts signed, contractor comes and gives a quote, does 1 days worth of work, and never shows up again for him. He doing an outdoor kitchen/decking job at his home and the contractor he's signed is all but gone. He made promises to show up but never did. He's made promises to call back and never has.
He's already had a 2nd guy come out and give him a quote because he about ready to cut his losses and start over.
I would like to know if there are any SMF members that are general contractors in the Austin Tx area. There's something about doing business with a fellow smoker from this site that instills some confidence for me....and hopefully him. PLEASE pm me if you do this stuff.
