help getting smoker ready

was given a smokey mtn.electric smoker there is some mold inside chamber what would be the propper way to clean it before use?  thanks

Ten parts water to one part bleach in a spray bottle.  After removing everything inside the smoker except the heating element spray to eliminate airborne mold and scrap/wipe out the mold.  Then wipe with clean water.  Leave open and clean everything you removed with the same spray and rinse.  Put everything back in and heat it at 275*F or so for a few hours then apply smoke for at least an hour.
