Hello all,

In true Internet traditions I started out looking for cover for the grille, next thing I found myself checking out modifications others have done to their rigs, followed by a quick check on costs of such modifications, followed by researching if the modifications are really worthy for the results of better tasting meat or just making the modifier feel better,,,,,,,,,,then after forgetting what the heck I originally went on line for I found myself here.

After reading threads till I drained the battery on the laptop, I decided what cool web-site. Sooooooooo. Here I is.

Name is Andy and I hail from the southeast section of Virginia known as Hampton Roads. I gave up the gas cooking grille some 6 years ago when I purchased a Char-Grill and have enjoyed many great tasting meal from it. Well the ole Char-Grill finally gave up the ghost this year and while picking up some fasteners at the local Home Depot I was enticed by a Managers Special on an Oklahoma Joe Longhorn. It was brought home last night and I plan on reading a few more threads on seasoning it and all the other things you kind folks have learned through your trial and errs. Let me first say Thank you and I look to posting up a few of my own. Got to go Duck Dynasty is on.

oh don't worry they'll be a lot shorter than this intro.....heeheehee

Good luck with that new rig, I always liked the looks of those Oklahoma Joes cookers.  And just ask when you need help and you'll get plenty.
