I'm from Mesquite, found this site while researching pid's for my lead casting pot. I'm thinking about building an electric powered smoker to augment my wood fired one since I discovered how inexpensive pid's are.

I have used many controls in the hvac industry that use pid functions, and know how well they control. Since building one for my lead pot, I'm looking for other applications. Viola, electric smoker. Now for research to see if I buy or build. Anyway, hi everyone.

Yeah, I've been out here since 61. Trying to get out east a bit. Can't make it happen yet.
