Hey everyone!

I'm Jon from Milwaukee and I'm about to pick up my first smoker.  I've settled on the Weber Smokey Mountain thanks to some great recommendations here.  I've got plenty of experience slow roasting ribs and briskets at low temps in the oven and I'm really excited to start using the smoker.

I'm also a longtime homebrewer and a member over at homebrewtalk.com, so I'm especially looking forward to pairing homebrews and ciders with smoked meat.  I have a nice hoppy American Amber planned for this weekend, which should be ready by May when the outdoor temps warm up and smoking/grilling season really kicks in.  Cheers!

Welcome JonM to the forum,  glad to have you with us.

Congrats on the new smoker,  now that you have signed up why not take Jeff's ecourse.  it's a good starting point!
